Clumsy Cake
Work in ft, bk, and both lps to emulate frosting as an option.
With any color, form an adjustable ring.
Follow rnds 1-5 of the Two-Tier Cake.
Rnd 6: *ch 1, (5 sc, 15 hdc, 4 sc)
around.
Rnds 7-8: repeat *.
Rnd 9: ch 1, sc around, join.
Rnd 10: ch 1, (sc in ft lp, 2 sc in
next ft lp) around, join. (36)
Rnd 11: ch 1, sc around, join.
Rnd 12: ch 1, sc around in bk lps, join.
Rnd 13: *ch 2, (4 hdc, 18 sc, 14 hdc)
around, join in top of second ch.
Rnds 14-15: repeat *.
Rnd 16: ch 1, sc around, join.
Rnd 17: ch 1, sc around in bk lps, join. Fasten off.
Icing (as shown)
Facing the bottom of the cake, join with a sc in ft lp of top tier cake (rnd 5).
Sc around. Fasten off. Repeat for top of bottom tier (ft lp of rnd 12). Weave
in loose ends.
